> DESCRIPTION

In his solo exhibition at UCCA, Beijing-based artist Chen Wenbo breaks apart some of the solid and abstract things that symbolize the energy of social development. These shadowy, metaphoric and symbolic matters have a strong impact on our ways of thinking, distracting us from paying attention to the values of concrete, specific things. The alert from the artist helps us think. It makes visible those hidden things and points us to alternative values.
