> DESCRIPTION

This exhibition in the T T Tsui Building galleries presents a selection of oil paintings by contemporary Chinese artists executed in realist, photo-realist, abstract, surrealist and impressionistic styles, presenting an overview of Chinese painting in the 1980s and 1990s. It also features selections of ancient Chinese ritual bronzes including a covered fanglei wine vessel recently donated by Mr Anthony J Hardy, which is on view for the first time.

Also on view is a sculpture by the well-known Taiwanese artist Ju Ming (b. 1938) from his Living World series donated to the Museum by the University of Hong Kong Museum Society.
