> DESCRIPTION

Changtu, locating in the extreme north of Liaoning Province, is a large agricultural country with a population of 1.05 million and an area of over 4000 square kilometers. The fertility of Liaohe Plain and the wit of branch of Changbai Mountain constitute the majestic and romantic and witty, heroic, mighty and fine and detailed geographic environment there and breed lots of local painters.
These painters integrate their artistic lives into the black soil. The mountains, stones, grasses and trees in their hometown are sources of their creation. “Painting hometown, painting earth, painting the familiar things around them” becomes their common pursuit. They are passionate to taste, embrace and kiss every inch of land in their hometown, to feel her vigorousness and thickness, holiness and dignity, heroicness and sadness. They root in black soil, deeply love nature, express their strong focus on the land and life in a plain aesthetic angle, and create many works with strong native flavor and prominent regional style on eulogizing the land, praising life.
