Today Art Museum (TAM)

Since 2001, butterflies have repetitively appeared in my paintings and become the main subject. At first, I want to convey a man like me who is coming from the countryside to a big city pursue one's dream and life value. The beautiful butterfly are always waving gracefully before my eyes. It seems quite near, but out of reach. After years of efforts and experience, all have been changed silently. Once good will and great ideal are realistic wrecked and gone with the wind. So-called striving after a loft ideal is just struggling in a snare. From 2004 to 2008, a butterfly seems the subject in my works, as a matter of fact, it is a specimen. A wrecked lifeless body, but it looks very attractive. Sometimes I feel there is an invisible hand playing around with the tattered sample, which attracts a great number of people like me to run for the moving fascinating scene.
