Wan Fung Art Gallery proudly presents, the “Vast & Sentient World – Painting Exhibition of Wu Jiafu” from 9 - 22 June in Hong Kong Wan Fung Art Gallery. The exhibition showcases around 50 paintings of Wu. His special painting technique demonstrated was inspired by both the East and the West. He utilizes the ancient Chinese rice paper and modern acrylic painting materials for his artworks to refresh every art-lover. The opening ceremony will start at 3pm on 9th June. The public, as well as the press, are welcome to join and meet Mr. Wu Jiafu in person. Free painting albums will be distributed and refreshment will be served that day.
Wu Jiafu is a well-known and popular drawing teacher in Hong Kong for years. More than 1,000 students have been taught by him. Wu is a talented artist who is so skilled at ink and color, flower-and-bird, scenery and figure paintings. The coverage of his solo exhibitions has expanded to Taipei and Beijing. His themes are mainly about Buddhism and still-life drawings. One will be easily impressed by the boundless power and compassion of Buddha shown in his paintings, and at the same time, touched by the cutie and lively chicks that he drew. Graceful blossoms of fresh flowers are also one of his beloved drawing ideas.
