> DESCRIPTION

Qu Muzi paints scenes of mystery and wonder, usually featuring a single figure in a dreamlike setting. Her treatment of light and colour is muted, with an occasional flash of brilliant colour.
She pays close attention to texture and design, which complement the careful composition of her paintings.
There is a wistful sense of fleeting beauty, tinged with sadness, in Qu Muzi’s paintings. Themes of love and memory, peace and nostalgia, can be discerned.

Qu Muzi is a young artist from Liaoning, North East China. This is her first exhibition in HK.
