> DESCRIPTION

In Asia, black and white are believed to be the original colors of the universe. Black has all the colors in itself thus represents all natures, whereas white refers to nothingness, purity and cleanness. For centuries, artists have been exploring these two colors and viewers have been enjoying looking at the world depicted in black and white. Especially, shan shui hua meaning 'landscape painting in Chinese ink' is one the most beloved form of art in Asia. However, our artist Park YoungHak will show a very different type of shan shui hua to the art scene of Hong Kong. He switched the medium from ink to charcoal & white stone powder and takes it to another level. His shan shui hua is chic and contemporary. The viewers will find a very unique vibe and texture in his works.
