> DESCRIPTION

Artist Liang Yu was born in North China and is presently working in South China. His works have been selected in the 7th, 10th and 11th National Art Exhibitions and chosen in national oil painting, engraving and watercolor painting exhibitions for many times. The current exhibition with the title of “Signal · Faraway” includes nearly 40 oil paintings and engraving works, which are mainly recent works of the artist. On the basis of personal exhibition of “Signal Lamp” series held in Hongkong Cultural Center and Guangdong Artists Association, the author gathers together new works in recent two years and creative manuscripts and here launches another exhibition. The works mainly focus on railroad, not only containing grand scenes with strong sense of perspective, but also having visual effect of partial enlargement. The painting is concise, open and quiet, but its connotation is powerful. Unrealistic conceptual expression and planar structural interest, as well as pure tone, striking color contrast and unique layout and management, form a unique iconic language of the artist.
