Infinity can be attributed to infinite dimensions which invokes a sense of being without constraint hence cannot be defined or reduced to knowledge or power.

Sandesh’s painting has a spiritual dimensions in its purest sense. He is in search of infinity, enlightenement & awakening to the true nature of beauty. His paintings took shape from his personal knowledge of this reality rather than from doctrines handed down, is the very foundation of this art-forms compelling power. The character, realization of the surroundings & spiritual inclination of the artist got transmitted into the painting itself. Sandesh’s paintings thus can be described as explorations, search into the depth of the SELF conducted through the abstract gaze that mark his journey into the spiritual dimensions of painting.

Looking back at the initial period of his career, he started out as a portraitist which obviously could not hold him any longer as his search was much deeper & beyond, ultimately saw his departure to the arenas of abstract painting thereby taking a huge risk which can result in outtright failure at worst or it may yield the artist a grand success. But very little of consequence can be accomplished without taking risk. And Sandesh has shown a rapid rise to maturity in a very short span of time by winning several prestigious awards. The popularity of his work led to shows in India & abroad as well & continues to inspire the interest of galleries & the collectors from around the world.

Sandesh’s aesthetic demonstrate a more liberal sense of rhythm instead of rigid rectilinear geometry, his forms undulate with a master’s control & the patterning of black & white forms & lines thickly rendered takes an idiosyncratic course to produce a piece of two dimensional art that conveys powerful movement. Symbolic imagery rendered like itching or engraving has become a major component of his art making. There is a utter sophistication & economy of colour & forms. The atypical expression of infinity, spiritual concept gives a strong contemporary feel to the work while making it interesting & original that will undoubtedly captivate the eye of the beholder.

In conclusion, may I state that as a friend  I much admire the fact that Sandesh has devoted his art practice to searching for truth of the nature of existence. With these paintings, I believe there is much to be gained by simply viewing them & opening ourselves to that experience – visually & intellectually.

Placeholder70x70-2 capturing infinity
Hello Mr Wankhede...I have read and re-read out of great interest. One thing that I don't understand the first paragraph it is stated that the infinite dimensions evoke a sense of being without constraint hence cannot be defined... My question is why then is Mr Khule in search of infinity, enlightenment & awakening if he already knows that the sense of being cannot be defined? If one knows this, then the search ends....perhaps it is you who knows and not he?....could you explain please.
