Philippe Sauvie

This digital painting is a hybrid of my traditional medium work inspired by works of art and things that I like and reconstituted or we composed or redirected in a way where the final image becomes a unique work of art. In this case, I started with a painting by Matisse was part of a famous fashion designers collection that went up for auction after his death. I decided as an exercise to paint a picture about how I felt about the Matisse and began the work that I considered a polar opposite in terms of color into reworking in places in terms of its shapes. Later, I merged that work with digital imagery that I have been working on in order to harmonize color in the image to a greater degree.
