For over 3 decades, G. R. N’Namdi Gallery has been internationally recognized as one of the most influential contemporary abstract art galleries. The Gallery was established in 1981, by George N’Namdi in Detroit, Michigan, to increase awareness of abstract art and inspire a new generation of art collectors.
G. R. N’Namdi Galleries’ clientele include highly acclaimed museums such as: The Art Institute of Chicago; The Detroit Institute of the Arts; The Metropolitan Museum; The Studio Museum of Harlem; The Museum of Modern Art in New York; major private and corporate collectors; along with individuals interested in building a taste for abstraction.
The G. R. N’Namdi Galleries have made significant contributions towards educating the public about fine art through lectures and publications. The galleries’ mission is that the collector, or potential collector, is educated about art and develops an appreciation for the historical and cultural value of the arts.
The G.R. N’Namdi Galleries are directed by George N’Namdi and his son, Jumaane N’Namdi.
