Iceberg is located on Sheridan Road in Chicago, positioned between two universities in one of the most economically and culturally diverse neighborhoods in the nation. Located behind the home of Daniel S. Berger MD and entered through his garden, Iceberg's private exhibition space is one of the most unique in the city. The design of the gallery, by Robert MacNeill, was realized through the renovation of an historic carriage house into a modern, light-filled space.
The focus of Iceberg is to:
• Provide a state-of-the-art space to highlight work from emerging and established artists, with a focus on those who have roots in Chicago.
• Provide opportunities from which aspiring curators in the Chicago area can gain experience in their professional development.
• Provide an alternative space in which Dan can exhibit work from his collection.
• Provide a forum for open conversation and discussion regarding art in Chicago and the world.
