Logsdon 1909 Gallery

Logsdon 1909 Gallery is proud to announce the opening of a group exhibition, “notBig: A Small Works Competition in the Chicago Arts District”.

The show opens at the Chicago Arts District during the Second Friday Event on December 11, 2009 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM with an artists reception open to the general public. The exhibition will be on view until January 2, 2010.

notBig is a small works competition juried by Doug Stapleton, Assistant Curator for the Illinois State Museum. Mr. Stapleton chose works in a variety of mediums and styles including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, collage, mixed media, printmaking, book arts, and photography. There was no intended theme for the work; it just needs to fit the criteria of being "small art". No work in the show will exceed 12 inches in any direction.
