"American Artifact: The Rise of American Rock Poster Art", will be having it's Chicago movie premiere as part of the Gene Siskel Film Center's "Stranger Than Fiction" film series, January 29th - Feb. 4th, 2010.

The premiere event will happen on Saturday, January 30th at 8pm, with appearances by director Merle Becker, and several Chicago artists from the film, including Jay Ryan, Mat Daly, Steve Walters, and Jim Pollock.

The movie, which has been opening around the country to positive reviews and sold out screenings, is a portrait of the rock poster artist subculture and the story of it's rich cultural history in America.
