Two works developed in dialogue with legendary choreographer Anna Halprin and presented at the MCA motivate this conversation. Choreographer Anne Collod reinterprets Halprin’s Parades and Changes, a seminal work of the 1960s avant-garde and post-modern dance, in parades & changes, replays. Filmmaker Daria Martin exhibits Minotaur, a film centered on a dance by Halprin based on the sculpture Minotaur by Auguste Rodin. In their conversation, the two discuss their creative process, inspirations and shared interest in Halprin’s work, and the strategies of reinterpreting and restaging artworks.
