> DESCRIPTION

Chicago-based artist Moré will collaborate with a unique performer: the elephant nose fish, native to Central Africa. The fish’s performance skills lie in an electrical pulse it emits as a navigation tool, which can also be amplified for the human ear to hear. Performing live at the gallery and out in the world, busking for coins, Halsted and Moré are also recording and releasing the performances on tape and vinyl. This performance duo mixes issues of displacement, communications, commercial sound and inter-species contact in a singularly engaging bio-tech format.
