Control c, control v, curated by Ryan Travis Christian, is a modern cut and copy. This exhibition takes a sampling of young, out of town artists to see where collage is and where it might be going. Works displayed in "control c, control v" explore a diverse grouping of themes and ideas, including but not limited to the absurd (Tobacco), psychedelia (Bharoocha, Copeland), landscape (Pecis), minimalism and image in/out of context (Nuda Rosch), re-investigation of retro imagery (Mackenzie), abstraction (Irie), and humor (Yahnker) We see traditional collage technique simultaneously embraced and rejected through old fashion blade and adhesive, sculptural elements, video montage, drawing and painting.
