Dewey Blocksma

Dewey was born in Amarillo, Texas. While a doctor working the emergency room, he began to construct figures, or "toys", as he calls them, in his free time.  In 1979, he left medicine to devote himself full-time to these pursuits. His strange, anthropoid figures, which resemble dolls or whirligigs, are made from bits of junk jointed together so that their arms and legs move. There is a casual, almost accidental quality to the work, but the thought behind it is, in fact, highly premeditated. As the artist says, "I use the works to think about things I am trying to understand."




Krishaun Williams

Krishaun is an artist living and working in Chicago. His works typically depict creatures of the sea in colorful and highly detailed settings. His incredibly active imagination and meticulous nature help to create underwater worlds that are delightful and interesting.




Jamin Jaddua

Jamin is a Chicago based artist as well as aspiring fashion designer. He is all about Style. Clothing is embellished with a vivid patchwork of bold fabrics, surrounded by fur and feathers, encrusted with rhinestones and mirrors, decorated with beads and silk flowers. Whether a full-length outfit designed for a rap impresario, or a modified baseball cap for the casual wearer, Jamin's flamboyant creations reflect urban luxury at its flashiest.




Heinrich Reisenbauer

Heinrich Reisenbauer was hospitalized in Gugging because of psychosis that became apparent after he started high school.  He lived for more than 30 years in a ward for the chronically ill. In 1986 Reisenbauer was invited to move into the House of Artists. There his artistic talents could unfold, and soon he was drawing productively and progressing in his unique style. His images are structured using serial repetition in which the depicted objects are always differentiated from one another by subtle nuances. The works are mostly small format and are drawn with pencil, colored pencil or charcoal. While he has only been working for 10 years, Reisenbauer's works have been exhibited frequently in the United States and Europe since 1990.

 

Stanislav Holas

Stanislav Holas was a mediumistic artist from a spiritualist circle in Southern Moravia. Holas began to draw in his youth and continued to draw throughout his life with frequent and long breaks.  However, after his retirement and the death of his wife in 1969 he became more artistically active. Holas showed his drawings at many mediumistic exhibitions in Europe and in New York as early as 1937.  His earlier works have more figurative traits, while his later works are more abstract with wavy rounded shapes and finely modulated warm colors or shading.
