Don't miss this one-night-only special exhibit of comics, drawings, prints, zines, sculptures, and sketchbooks by emerging and established illustrators from Columbia College Chicago.

The Illustration Program and Portfolio Center at Columbia College Chicago welcome you to a special collaborative exhibit and reception featuring progressive new work from students and alumni illustrators, curated by faculty members Ivan Brunetti and Chris Eliopoulos. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a wide range of creative work, talk with artists, and welcome emerging talent into the professional community. The exhibit consists of two project rooms:

Alphabedrock: Illustrators' Takes on Tenets features almost 30 student illustrators, working in a variety of media and styles, in playful explorations of belief systems using the alphabet.

Linework 5 features five distinguished alumni contributors to Linework, Columbia's student-run comics and graphics anthology, now continuing as a regular feature in the biweekly publication New City.

The event is also hosted in conjunction with Fine Arts Open Studios, a festive studio open house featuring Senior BFA candidates working in a variety of media.

All of this is part of Industry Events 2014 at Columbia College Chicago, our annual series introducing graduating talent to professional creative communities. See the full schedule atcolum.edu/industryevents, running now through May 15.
