> DESCRIPTION

Visitors are invited to walk through Think First, Shoot Later with Heidi Reitmaier, Beatrice C. Mayer Director of Education, and explore the broad holdings of the MCA collection and some of the most dominant issues defining photography today. The exhibition includes works beginning in the late 1960s on, which are often characterized as being highly premeditated, systematic, and staged, and debunks any notion of photography as an easily defined field. Curator tour groups meet by the admissions desk on the second floor.
