The PilsenEast Artists' Open House is one of the oldest continuously-run annual art events in Chicago and the Midwest, now in its 38th year! During this event, the more than 30 galleries in the Chicago Arts District AND many of the artist residences and studios are open for viewing.The event is free and allows a rare "behind the scenes" view of the artist's creative environment.
Visitors can buy art, enjoy performances coordinated by EP Theater, view the curated show, or stroll through the gardens. Come enjoy the sites and sounds of the Chicago Arts District - where people meet art.

Over 30 galleries - Galleries opening new exhibitions, hosting artist demonstrations, artist talks, performances, and more!
Over 100 participating artists with numerous artist studios and residences open to the public - view artwork at its source in the artists homes and studios where the work is created!
Artists available to discuss work - open, friendly environment for visitors to speak with gallery owners and artists about the art
Visiting Artist Gallery- Gallery space made available to visiting artists to show their work. More than 25 visiting artists display works for sale and exhibition!

Performances in the Fire Arts Garden - Various musical and theatrical performers on an outdoor stage
Award-Winning Courtyard Gardens - the numerous Gardens of the Chicago Arts District, normally closed to the public, are open to visitors during this event.
