"I'm connected with this inner world to such a degree that I can't leave
the sphere of my palette even in the way I dress or furnish my house.
It's the only world I know and nothing else convinces me that should I
paint it. I came across the term, "linden-tree" and didn't know what one
looked like. My mother's no longer alive, so she won't be able to tell me
how it looks, but she's there in my mind and sometime or other the
linden-tree from Rovno will be the next painting."
