> DESCRIPTION

John Sabraw is a nationally recognized artist, collaborator and professor whom the gallery has been representing since 1999.

Known as a colorist, his vivid paintings and drawings delve into a broad range of subject matter from realistic renderings of exotic tree bark to ephemeral landscapes to abstract explorations into the connectivity of all things.

Underscoring his studio practice are interdisciplinary collaborations such as working with engineers to create paints with pigments removed from streams polluted by acid mine drainage.

This solo exhibition is a portrait of an artist engaged with the natural and the metaphysical. It features works in oil, water-based media, and dry pigments.
