January 16-February 16, 2013
Artist's Reception - Friday, January, 18, 2013 6-9pm
Union Street Gallery will present a solo exhibit of Michael Goro's technically masterful engravings and etchings that often combine urban architecture with contemporary or historic figurative references.
Goro, a self-described storyteller, creates thoughtful, puzzling, sometimes jarring metaphors for society's behavior and evolution through his insertion of familiar icons and landmarks into unexpected, unrelated and contradictory contexts.
Goro will exhibit 22-24 finished prints, 4-6 drawings or proof stages of the prints, and perhaps some actual plates that were used for the prints.
