MCA: Family Day: Design Decisions
November 10, 2012
Free for families with kids 12 and under
Family Days take place every second Saturday of the month from 11 am to 3 pm at the Museum of Contemporary Art from October to May. Activities are appropriate for all ages unless otherwise noted. The MCA invites families to learn about the art of our time through hands-on art activities, scavenger hunts, Look & Learn stations, and more. This November work through design decisions and experiment with materials as you create spaces and furniture inspired by the artwork of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.
Raised in Normandy, France, Ronan Bouroullec (b.1971) was trained in industrial design while Erwan (b.1976) studied fine art, and their collaboration brings high-tech manufacturing ideas to iconic furniture and design formats. Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec is a mid-career survey of the young French designing brothers widely recognized as two of the most exciting and innovative designers that are working today.
