> DESCRIPTION

AVAGAMI was formed in 2005 by drummer/composer Matt Espy (Dead Rider, former The Reputation and Atombombpocketknife,) and Eric Lebofsky, a visual artist, saxophonist, and composer.  Effects driven, their musical inventions are energetic, dark, improvisational, and humorous. Avagami has performed at Chicago venues such as the Empty Bottle, the Hideout, and Schubas, and at many galleries and alternative art spaces. Their debut album Metagami was released by Lens Records in 2007.
