The Green Arts Show is a lively exhibit of visual and performing arts that reflect or promote more sustainable ways of living. Artists are invited to submit works that promote thoughtful and engaging interpretations of the process of going green. The show will be held September 7 - 23. The featured artist is Mary Ellen Croteau. Mary Ellen's self-portrait, made out of 7,000 plastic bottle caps, won the People's Choice Award at the 2011 Green Arts Show.
As part of this year’s show, Mary Ellen will lead a workshop for families during which participants will create art out of plastic bottle caps. You can help by saving your plastic bottle caps and tops for the workshop — and bringing them to one of our bottle cap collection spots --
