Meet in 4th Floor Lobby

Artists and scholars lead gallery conversations based on the major themes of This Will Have Been: Art Love and Politics in the 1980s. In “The End Is Near,” artist Tony Tasset takes on the decade’s various ends, among these the end of painting and the end of the counterculture. Featured in This Will Have Been, Tasset received his MFA at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1985) and is currently a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
