Lecture and Seminar Series in Contemporary Topics.  Series I:  Beckett, Burroughs, Barthelme, and other 'postmodern' writers of the twentieth century.  "The 'death of God' in literature since Nietzsche.  Five-week lecture series beginning Wednesday June 29th at 7:30 p.m., at Pressure Cafe in Chicago (6318 N. Clark St.) 

    1.  Nietzsche; Jarry, Dada. 2. Artaud and the Body without Organs (Deleuze & Guattari); 3. Samuel Beckett; 4. William Burroughs; 5. Donald Barthelme.   $25 for full series of five seminars -- lectures, discussion, documentary videos, etc.
