> DESCRIPTION

A prominent post-war imagist, Seymour Rosofsky’s (1924-1981) direct, brooding paintings use realism to anchor extraordinary circumstances in a familiar world.  His subject matter, family, oppression, and politics, become credible to the viewer even within Rososky’s fantastical, dream-like surroundings.

Please join us for the opening reception on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 6:00-8:00pm
