Installed in December 2010, 12840 Gallery is Blue Island, Illinois' second pop-up art gallery. Pop-up art galleries are temporary displays, bringing new life to empty storefronts. The 12840 Gallery artists came together in hopes to brighten this space and create opportunities for more artists in the area. 12840 Gallery features work of four local artists: Michelle Richardella (Blue Island), Amanda Kaliski (Blue Island), Alana Marcelle (Dolton), and Lindsey Freres (Chicago). The space will be updated with the addition of artist, Bernadette Welbourn (Chicago), in March 2011. Please check for updates then.
