SOFA CHICAGO 2010, the City’s longest continually running art fair, will feature 70 art galleries and dealers from 11 countries presenting works by more than 350 artists. The Intuit show will showcase some of the most esteemed artists (many with Chicago roots) producing internationally acclaimed works of self-taught art, outsider art, art brut, ethnographic art, non-traditional folk art and visionary art. An extensive and thought-provoking series of lectures and special exhibits are part of this must-see art experience. And returning to SOFA CHICAGO by popular demand, The Corning Museum of Glass Hot Glass Roadshow presents live demonstrations of hot glass blowing, featuring SOFA-represented artists and master glassblowers.
One general admission ticket of $15 admits visitors to both the SOFA and Intuit fairs, related lecture series, special exhibits and events. $25 three-day passes and discounted student, senior and group tickets are also available. Hours are Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m. For tickets or more information visit artcrowd.net.
