CHANGING THE WORLD THROUGH ART
Can a single piece of art change your life? Influential pieces leave a mark on each individual. Changing the way they view what’s around them. Art has the power to make a difference in the lives of people, in their friend’s lives, resulting in a domino effect.
Creating a piece of art, whether it be a photograph, a painting, a sculpture, the goal is universal; to reach a broader audience, and make one think. Think as to what the artists’ message is, what puzzle piece it could add to their life. Often times we go through life with tunnel vision, seeing one thing, black and white, no shades of grey. Taking those blinds off, even for a slight period of time, is what art creates.
A single piece of art can change your life; one just has to be open to such a possibility and not steer away from the beauty that lies in front of us.
“Changing the World Through Art” is an exhibit which presents five artists and their own presentation of the world through their creativity. Presenting work by Elena Fedorova, Kristen Wenke, Luis Diaz, Anna Soroczynska and Helga Dangel.
The exhibit opens on August 27th, 2010 at 7:00 pm at International Business Club (IBC) located on 6818 W. Belmont in Chicago.
