Chaz Bojórquez (b.1949\, Los A ngeles) is recognized as a pioneer in the U.S. street art movement by his i conic skeletal stencil of Señor Suerte created in 1969. He has taken influe nce from the proud and historic style of "cholo" writing used around his ne ighborhood\, thus developing a style of his own. His formative studies were Chinese calligraphy under Master Yun Chung Chiang\, ancient Mesoamerican A rt at the University of Guadalajara\, as well as painting\, ceramics and sc ulpture at the Chouinard Art Institute. His artwork and voice on intellectu alized graffiti continues to draw and inspire an international urban identi ty that informs today's global street art community.

Ha sido influencia do por el legendario y orgulloso estilo “cholo” el cual era utilizado en su barrio mientras él desarrollaba un estilo propio.
