Watchlist Artist: Adam Holtzman

Alibi Fine Art is pleased to present a solo exhibit of work from former Alibi owner, Adam Holtzman. This will be the inaugural show in our new location at 4426 N Ravenswood Ave, and a celebration of Holtzman's new role as an Alibi artist.

Boldly, We Go Blindly is a collection of three bodies of work: Frailty; Relics, Artifacts & Mementos; and Old and New. Each was created using a different photographic technique, and all explore the hierarchies of value in the ephemeral processes and subjects of photography.

More on Adam Holtzman:

Adam Holtzman began his obsession with photography after receiving a 35mm camera as a gift in late 2000; having found the artistic medium that fit, he decided to leave his career as a chef and devote himself to the craft. In the years since, he has expanded beyond art making into curation and publishing, founding Alibi Fine Art and 2054 Press in 2010. Recently he has stepped away from Alibi to focus more intently on his own practice. His goal is to continue to explore and push the medium of photography by growing his knowledge of the craft in historical terms, as well as interpreting it via new methods and materials.
