Call for Entries: The 6th Annual Lillstreet International BEST SERVED HOT: CERAMICS FOR THE COFFEE RITUAL

Lillstreet Gallery is pleased to announce a call for entries for its annual juried ceramic exhibition open to artists across the globe. This year, jurors Mark Lyman and Joseph Pintz will chose more than 50 works that celebrate the coffee ritual. Successful entries will include: mugs, cups, cream & sugar sets, pour-over brewing funnels, and other functional work related to the theme.
• 1-5 images of proposed work, JPEG format. Each proposed work must be pictured in at least two views.
• Detailed caption information including dimensions, material & firing method.
• Please note the pieces must have been made within the past two years.
All accepted work must be delivered to Lillstreet Gallery between August 4 and August 9, 2013.
Sales and Return of Unsold Work: Lillstreet Gallery will retain 50% commission on all sales. Any unsold work will be returned to the artist within three weeks of the exhibition closing date at the expense of the gallery.
About the Jurors:
Mark Lyman is the Executive Director of the SOFA, the International Exposition of Sculpture Objects and Functional Art. Joseph Pintz is a ceramic artist who received an Emerging Artist award from NCECA in 2009. He currently teaches at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
