Submission Deadline: 1 June, 2012
Jim Warboy's notorious club night S.O.S is taking over an amazing 3-floor warehouse with 5 rooms and gathering some of the best talent London's underground scene has given rise to.
S.O.S. will take place over bank holiday Sunday June 3rd at Islington Metal Works, 7 Torrens St. London.
Angel Rose and Josh Quinton will be curating a loop of short films to be screened on rotation all night in the cinema room under the name VIDEODRONE. We are looking for.... weirdo experimental shorts, music videos, fashion films and of course, TOTAL TRASH. We are particularly interested in shorts with a strong musical soundtrack.
VIDEODRONE aims to go beyond the "white noise" of most visual projections in night clubs and bring something exciting and entertaining to club-goers. We have a whole room to play in, and it is our hope to connect film-makers within London's creative club scene. However this is not city-specific and we welcome submissions from across the globe.
Artists and Filmmakers already confirmed for VIDEODRONE include...Miss Annabel Sings, Alexa Gould-Kavet, Robert Fox, Jenkins Van Zyl, Cara Rainbow, and of course yours truly, Angel Rose.
Other acts on the night include performance artists Scottee and Johnny Woo, Avant-Classical soundscapes by the legendary Bishi and Matthew Glamorre and the infamous troop of east london trannies, SINK THE PINK! For the full line-up click here.
