A year ago Motive Gallery moved from the NDSM docks in Amsterdam to the Dansaert district in Brussels, a vibrant centre of the international art world.
Throughout the last year we have continued to develop Motive Gallery and we are now about to move forward with another important development.
We are very pleased to be able to let you know that we are on the verge of establishing an institute, where we can apply a new vision to our active role in mediating, supporting and developing contemporary art. This institute will offer a place in which art can be experienced, contemplated and discussed. There will be significant participation of artists, curators, collectors, writers and thinkers as well as collaborations with galleries, museums and other exhibition venues.
The last exhibition at our current location ‘People in the Woods’ by Roy Villevoye will run from 7 November through 21 December 2013.
There will be a pause in the program before the opening at our new location but we are continuing our activities supporting our roster of artists until 2015. Please, therefore, don’t hesitate to contact us for inquiries regarding the artists and their work.
In our regular newsletter we will keep you up to date as this development progresses.
