For his first exhibition in Belgium\, Kristof Kintera  (Praha\, 1973) presents artworks that mainly explore the boundaries of con temporary sculpture. His practice range from public installations to small kinetic devices. He also deals with the reification of material and transfo rmation of everyday objects that both convey anthropomorphically referenced attitudes. Kintera embraces existantialist issues questioning the place of humans in their natural and/or artificially created environment. he invest igates current complexities in a globalized context including social tensio ns\, urbanism\, consumerism\, etc. His artworks permanently generate a conf lict between the personal and the global along with polarities such as attr activeness and rejection. Kintera's interventions are voluntarily provocati ve\, subversive\, melancholic\, schizophrenic and refer to the ready-made a nd various styles such as mannerism\, surrealism\, caricature\, etc.
