SoundImageCulture / SIC is an internationally oriented workspace that operates at the intersection of cinema, anthropology and contemporary art.
A group of artist-filmmaker-anthropologists assist professional audiovisual artists and social scientists in the realization of their personal project.
The workspace offers an environment for the development of audiovisual creations through 10 months of artistic coaching: active workshops, individual advising, group critiques, and inter-artist dialogues.
SIC is an interdisciplinary initiative, emerged out of many years of experience in teaching at universities and art schools.
For additional perspectives, we invite international artists and critics.
SIC works with a maximum of 10 participants and takes place between March and December, on different locations in Brussels.
