Description
This painting was done from photograph and memory. In the beginning of 2010, I began experimenting with a monochromatic palette to alternately harness and indulge the nostalgia surrounding family photographs and to cite my photographic source. This painting is my favorite within this series and, to me, represents the emotional potential of a monochromatic image.
