The FLUXUS+ museum in Potsdam opened in April 2008. A museum specialising in the Fluxus movement is unique within the Potsdam and Berlin museum scenes. Nowhere else in the region one can see such an extensive collection of artworks, correspondence, objects, relics and films connected with this art movement. This collection is supplemented by an extensive display of artworks by Wolf Vostell, who was also a member of the Fluxus movement.
The "plus" in the name of the museum FLUXUS+ indicates the opening it offers to contemporary artists like Arman, Christo, Hains, Lebel, Niki de Saint-Phalle and Ann Noel.
The atrium of the FLUXUS+ museum is a space covering over 100m2 with free admission, ideally suited to exhibitions and their openings.
The museumsshop is housed in the building's spacious foyer. Anyone who likes to surround themselves with beautiful things and enjoys modern, unconventional design will surely find something here.
The museumscafé allows visitors to relax over drinks, cakes and snacks after viewing the museum or strolling through the Schiffbauergasse. A selection of events are held on a regualar basis in the museum or in the café, shop or video room. For music lovers, there are FLUXUS+ live music events, held in the foyer in the open air on the terrace.
