Hidari Zingaro is an art gallery produced by Takashi Murakami and Kaikai Kiki. It opened in June, 2012. It is affiliated with the Tokyo galleries Kaikai Kiki Gallery and Hidari Zingaro.
Building on the standard set by its Tokyo flag ship, Hidari Zingaro Berlin is an art gallery which builds new bridges between art and the world at large by linking contemporary art, subculture, and emerging talent.
The gallery exhibits young artists from both Japan and Germany, questioning fundamental assumptions about the definition of art, design, and media, while challenging Western viewers with a surprising new aesthetic.
Hidari Zingaro aims to become a point of reference for all those who are interested in the intersection between art, local culture, and the rapid development of popular media. The gallery is located in Kreuzberg and we look forward to building links with the youth of Berlin.
