The Gallery Olaf Stüber opened in May 2001 in Max-Beer-Straße in Berlin-Mitte, close to Alexanderplatz and the Volksbühne Theatre. The gallery is managed by its owner, Olaf Stüber.
The gallery programme emphasizes on video art but also includes photography, performance, installation and painting.
The gallery represents emerging and mid-career artists such as Marc Aschenbrenner, Com&Com, Thierry Geoffroy/ Colonel, Michael Höpfner, Thomas Kilpper, Knut Klaßen, Dirk Meinzer, Astrid Nippoldt, Stefan Panhans, Corinna Schnitt and Henrik Schrat.
The artists represented have participated in major group and solo shows in established national and international institutions including Museum Ludwig Cologne, Hamburger Kunsthalle, Dallas Contemporary, Hirshhorn Museum Washington, MOCCA Toronto etc.
The gallery regularly takes part in art fairs, such as Art Forum Berlin, Art Brussels, Art Cologne, Loop - Video Art Fair Barcelona, and NADA Art Fair Miami.
Together with the collector Ivo Wessel Olaf Stüber initiated the project "Videoart at Midnight". Once per month - on a Friday night - the two videoart enthusiasts show video works on the big screen of the BABYLON Cinema.
