The paintings by Hyuna Kim show strange, unlogic and yet familiar pictures which stimulate and evoke archetypes of dream images. Like dreams having the tendency to disarrange and blur one’s perception, Kim’s images seem to be the imagery of such a mysterious process. This is a process in which the rooms, things and animals get detracted of their assignments and meaning, while simultaneously - because of the collision of normally unassociated things - gaining new relations and unknown meanings.
