Berlin Glas e.V. is delighted to host the 2. Berlin Becher Triennial from 13 December 2013 to 24 January 2014.
23 international artists - Sibylle Peretti + Stephen Paul Day, Ali Kaaf, Darryl Lauster, David Armstrong Six, Richard Whiteley, Neal Paustain, Bradly Brown, Danielle Georgiou, Julius Weiland, Francis Giampietro, Gregory Ruppe, C.J. Davis, Michael Mazurek, Stephen Lapthisophon, Cassandra Emswiler, Hayley Fowler, Philipp Weber, Jeff Gibbons, Sally Glass, Hanna Hudson, Sharon Turner, Jesse Morgan Barnett and H. Schenck, were invited to interpret intersections of place, memory and the construction of temporal metaphors, within the theme This Life will Self Destruct in 10…9…8....
The 2. Berlin Becher Triennial (2.BBT) is curated by Justin Ginsberg, MFA and department Head of Glass at the University of Texas in Arlington. It is the sequel to the 1. Berlin Becher Biennial that was organized jointly in 2010 by artist Scott Chaseling and founder of Berlin Glas e.V. Nadania Idriss.
2.BBT will open on Friday, 13 December 2013 with Strange Symphony, a performance by artist Philipp Weber. A catalog with forward will be available for download online on the Berlin Glas e.V. website for a limited time and for sale at the studio.
