New works will be on display, which focus on the fascinating and polarising life in the emerging country Brazil. During his frequent residencies in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Salavdor de Bahia, Norbert Bisky was inspired by the strong atmosphere of a moving nation with all its merits and faults. The works depict scenes of euphoria and agony, of beauty and fright, tenderness and brutality - and emerge as allegories of all human life in these vivid times of turmoil.
The Exhibition is supplemented by drawings from the brazilian artist Guilherme Dietrich. He was born in 1984 in Porto Alegre and was a student of Norbert Bisky at the Genfer Kunstakadamie HEAD.
