At the conclusion of the tenth edition of the DMY International Design Festival in Berlin, the designers and groups who have been nominated for the DMY Award will have the opportunity to present the prize-winning projects, experimental prototypes and one-off design objects to visitors of the Bauhaus Archive. The presentations will be augmented by a diverse programme of events that reflects the heterogeneous character of an exhibition featuring mostly young and innovative figures in design.
A series of events and interactive sessions with varying concepts is planned. A variety of happenings that do not conform to the typical museum context will add a metaphysical dimension to the accompanying programme, transforming participants into active interpreters of the exhibition, emphasizing unusual aspects of the works, and establishing new associations between the works and the concepts that lie behind them. The DMY Award, which distinguishes outstanding examples of future-oriented design, is presented annually by DMY Berlin together with the Bauhaus Archive.
