Wolf Vostell 'Dé-Coll/Age Musik'

CD-Presentation and Exhibition

December 10, 2011 - January 14, 2012

Opening Reception: December 10, 2011 - 6pm

Wolf Vostell (1932–1998) was a German painter, sculptor, noise music maker and Happening artist. He is one of the pioneers of video art, environment-sculptures, Happenings and Fluxus. Together with Nam June Paik and George Maciunas he organised the Festival 'Festum Fluxorum' in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1962. This festival is considered to be the birth of the Fluxus movement. Vostell was the first artist in history to integrate a television set into a work of art ('Deutscher Ausblick' from 1958).

The exhibition will present prints and videos based on the pieces of the CD 'Dé-Coll/Age Musik' by Wolf Vostell which was just released by Tochnit Aleph (TA101). The CD and an A2 poster are available at the exhibition and by mailorder from Rumpsti Pumsti (Musik).
