BLOUIN ARTINFO: Artist Sasha Meret Crashes Armory Show With Models Clad in Cutlery Armor
Artist Sasha Meret Crashes Armory Show With Models Clad in Cutlery Armor-By Shane Ferro
Its first day of being open to the public, the 2012 Armory Show has hosted at least two unannounced performances: the first was a self-mummifying packing tape piece by Christian Eisenberger; the second, titled “Occupy Body” (pictured), is the work of New York-based artistSasha Meret.

Meret tells IN THE AIR that the provocatively titled piece is a work in progress that he hopes will be selected for official inclusion at next year’s Art Basel. For now he and his two model-performers are walking around the piers showing off these armor-like outfits made of cutlery.
